About Simply Royal

In 2017, I took an environmental biology class and learned about the impacts of human activity on the environment and how some of the products we use are toxic to our bodies. I also learned that even small changes can make a big difference. I wanted to do my part and searched for options that were healthier for my family and our planet. After some research, I discovered the art of making soap using all natural ingredients. I fell in love after making my first batch and Simply Royal soap was born!

The business name was inspired by a verse in the bible, 1 Peter 2:9, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

All my soap is handmade in small batches in my home in Woodland, Washington. I use natural oils and butters like coconut oil, cocoa butter, olive oil, mango butter, and shea butter. I use natural colorants including activated charcoal and yellow dock powder and only use essential oils to mildly scent the soap. The product is hydrating for your skin, healthy for your body, and it never overwhelms the nose.

One of my business goals is to one day be able to donate a percentage of my profit to organizations that rescue women and children from human trafficking and sex slavery. These organizations help women start their own business so they can provide for their families and rebuild their lives.
